Can I get my passport stamped at Malpensa Airport, Italy?

I want to have a stamp in my British Passport when I get to Malpensa Airport (Milan) next week but since the UK and Italy are both in the EU I don't know whether I can. Everyone I know who has gone to Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Germany recently hasn't had a stamp.

Does anybody know if I can request it?

  1. Actually you don't even need a passport to come to Italy... I went to England several times and I travelled with identity card, was more than enough, so I think that you won't get it... sorry...

  2. All you should have to do is ask?  I am sure that some one at the airport can give you the answer.
