  1. No, Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe the Bible to preclude a Christian from performing jury duty.. ..

A person who feels that jury duty interferes with his understanding of God's will cannot claim a "religious objection" as an adherent of the Jehovah's Witness religion, but he may choose to claim a "conscientious objection" on the merits of his own conscience.

  2. You do not serve but you must answer the summons.  Go to the court house and speak to the Chief Juror.  Be sure to have proof of you religious affiliation.

  3. Just came across this guy - www.offinia.com - listing valid ways to get out of jury duty. It might be "unconstitutional" but it can't help to know!! ;-)

  4. dont think so

  5. I got out of jury duty due to IBS (irritable bowel syndrome)

  6. No you cannot get out of jury duty due to a religious excuse.

  7. I am not a JW, but have been told that they do not swear an oath (on the Bible), nor serve on juries, nor serve in the military.  There must be JWs on here that can give a positive answer ~

Edit:  If I am correct that JWs are not supposed to serve on juries, they you most certainly would be excused on the basis of your religious beliefs.
