Can I get progressive rimless frames with this prescription?

-2.25. +2.5, and about 2.75 astigmatism. I am willing to pay for the thinnest lenses, 1.74. I don't care how much I have to pay but I really want rimless.

  1. You might not be able to get 1.74 in a progressive either, but you can get a Varilux Physio 360 custom lense in Polycarbonate that would look really nice and be super light weight. It would have an ar coating on it too that would be really great. They also have it isn a 1.67 material that should be impact resistant enough for a drilled rimless. Go to your doctor's office and ask aobut it, you will love it.

  2. Sure you can , that's no problem.

1.74 is overkill though, your prescription isn't strong enough for that. 1.74 isn't rcommended under a - 6.00

Those complete rimless frames require Polycarbonate or Trivex lenses, so that will be the equivalent to a 1.6...but that will look fine.

1.60, 1.67, 1.74 are hi index material that don't work in those kinds of frames , they break off at the hole where it was drilled too easy.
