Question:

Can I get some advice for my stomach?

Here and there, one to two times a month, I get these terrible stomach aches that just kill me for the whole day—I can barely eat anything because I get nauseous, let alone do anything, they hurt so bad. I mostly sleep the whole day. The only thing that has helped is either puking, but I still feel terrible despite not being in pain anymore, or eating chicken noodle soup, but it takes me a long time to feel up to eating anything.

My stomach generally feels slightly upset most mornings as well, but it’s not because I am hungry or anything.

As I don’t want to keep sending stomach acid up my throat or spend hours in pain, can anyone give me any advice of what I could do to calm it down or reduce the pain? What about preventing them, or what might be going on? It's not food poisoning; it's too frequent to be that, but about 50% of the time it does occur on/near my cycle, so a cause of it might be there… If at all possible, please avoid seeing a doctor or taking some kind of prescription medicine. That costs money I don’t have.

  1. Omg! I thought i was a weirdo.

I had the same problem during my Freshman year of high school.

I went to the doctors and nothing was wrong.

(i am not saying nothing is wrong with you, you may have a serious problem, but it is a possibility)

    It was just stress.

Is there anything in your life that bothers you, you may not even notice?

For me it was entering high school (which i didn't think bothered me)

    my parents divorce

    and My grandpa's death.

When you start feeling sick breath deeply and focus on your breathing, it is a sort of meditation. Put your mind in a clear state and the pain will go away. Mind over matter. :D

  2. I have similar problems and I have been taking something called Emetrol. It's this cherry flavored liquid that you take 2 tbs of whenever you start feeling that way and it settles the whole throwing up/nauseous feeling.

You dont need a prescription for it, it doesnt taste horrible(well after the first time lol) and it really really has helped me a LOT. I love it lol.

  3. Is there a free clinic or Medicaid clinic near you? Try to go there.

  4. It sounds to me like you have some kind of infection in there.

For the time being, I would suggest taking something like Tums to calm your stomach down, drinking herbal tea to soothe your throat, and getting to the doctor's office -- STAT. I know you don't want to spend the money on medicatino but this can't be healthy, dear.:(
