Can I get some advice from a fellow US Citizen who has lived abroad in the UK?

I'm an American who is planning to relocate to the UK next year and seeking advice. Could someone with experience relocating from the US to the UK contact me directly? I have many questions Id like to ask about the process. Application costs, how long it takes, expediting the process, etc... Id be very thankful if someone could email me and discuss this process.
