Can I get the same audio from my tv on all my surround sound speakers?

I am trying to hook up 4 speakers that will play all the same audio but only 2 of them will work. I am running it through red/white chords to tv(its an older system) Is there a way to get all four speakers to play at once? Its a technics av control receiver and the surround inputs dont seem to be working

  1. if you buy two Y lines yes, go to radio shack and for about 10 bucks you have your fix.


  2. have you tried putting them into the cable box, or whatever network you have. If it is a new tv then you might need a new system.

It depends on the receiver and how its set up to get 4 speakers to play audio all at once.  If you're trying to get 4 speakers on a receiver built for surround sound, it should be easy, if you're trying to split a stereo signal amongst them.  If that's the case and you have all the equipment hooked up correctly, it maybe a setting you have that wont allow all for to work.  Look for a surround sound button or mode button.  If its a stereo receiver with an A and B switch for speakers, it depends on the receiver if it will allow both to play.  That should be listed in the manual, if you don't have the manual, check the manufacturers website for a PDF copy.
