Can I get them to mail me a check for my claim?

I have State Farm but a couple of months ago I got backed into by an Allstate customer. I'm too busy to ever get around to taking my vehicle to the body shop to be repaired so is it possible to get Allstate to just give me the check for the estimate that was given to me by the Allstate inspector?

Yes.  I am a bit surprised that they have not sent you the check already.  You are making a third party claim.  You do not have to accept a direction to pay the auto body.   Call and ask them to settle your claim.  They should send you a check based on their appraisal.

Yes, you should be able to get the check.  Have your insurance go to bat for you.  that is what you pay them for
