  1. Umm... I think you should stay on the safe side and not feed your hamster stuff like that. It could end up badly....

  2. do not give your hamster m&m's or ice cream or they will get diabetes and it is a nasty in hamsters.  their cage stinks, they urinate alot and smell just awful.

  3. Obviously you are not aware that chocolate is toxic to many animals.

  4. No.  Just because she has had some chocolate before (ice cream is usually only chocolate flavored or has only minimal amounts of actual chocolate) doesn't mean that it is safe or that she can have some more.  Sometimes animals are fine the first time but will be poisoned the second time.  The sugar is also pretty bad for them.

Give her a real peanut instead, she'll love those-and they're good for her as treats.

  5. Hamsters do not eat sweets. it clogs up their cheek pouches and sometimes, in extreme cases, starve to death. Even a bit at a time builds up in their pouches, so i strongly advise agaisnt it.

  6. A regularl peanut would be much better.

The better question is, why would you want to support Mars?

    Sickening isn't it? I wouldn't give your hamsters a peanut M&M.

  7. NO

Avoid giving your hamster anything with chocolate or sugar in it. Chocolate is proven to be toxic for little animals and anything with added sugar is bad again for the hamster health. Hamsters have to be given only natural foods without any extra sugar or salt.

There is another problem with giving anything sticky to hamsters like M&M. Hamsters store food in their cheek pouches for retrieval later and sticky things would stick to their cheeks and not come out causing a condition called impacted cheek pouches which would require immediate vet attention.

Indulge your hamster with treats but treats which are safe for her like sunflower seeds, dog biscuits, bits of cheese or hard boiled egg or any commerical treats like yoghurt drops available for hamsters in pet shops.

  8. It is not recommended to feed hamsters candy or ice cream.  They are prone to weight gain, and diabetes.  Their little bodies cannot handle that type of food, so why feed it to them?  If you want to give her a real treat without causing so many bad things, try a yogurt drop, or a piece of fruit..as long as it's not citrus.

  9. Uh no, and your not supposed to give hamsters chocolate. It could kill them.

  10. I'm sure you could, but I don't know why you want to.

There's no nutritional value for the hamster. If you want to give him a treat, give him some fruit. Still sweet, but healthy.

  11. umm chocolate is toxic and i wouldnt give him something so big
