Can I give "people" vitamin C pills to my fish?

Hi. I have a flowerhorn with Hole in the Head disease. I read somewhere that adding vitamin C to its diet can help enhance its immune system. I read somewhere that I can just crush some regular vitamin C pills, dissolve it in water and add it to the water of the fish. Is that right? Can I do that? Or do I have to buy special Vitamin C supplement for the fish? Thanks

please take your flowerhorn to the vet, this is the safest option

You cant use human stuff, you have to get the stuff for the fish. they have different compounds.

You need to properly treat your fish for HITH.  The time to "enhance" your fish's immune system is "before" it gets ill.  Too late for that.....

Using vitamin c for human consumption is fine..... just crush it up very well.....
