  1. make sense...do you owe $50 or not ???

  2. Yes.  You should make a written statement and send it by delivery receipt.  Call them and dispute it: write down EVERY time you call, include the date, person & employee number, what you said & response & expected outcome.  Stay polite & keep your cool but keep calling until it is resolved.

    Good luck.

It will most likely show up on your credit report.  Maybe not if you can handle it with patience and diligence.

  3. Just pay the $50. No need to ruin your credit for the small amount you owe.

  4. you simply send them a letter explaining that you don't owe anything OR call them up and explain this on the phone.  They will take it off your account if you really don't owe

  5. I work in a collections dept. (for a utilities company)

    We call people for $1.

We provide a service that needs to be paid for, so we call people for payment.

Our company will send you a statement of payments if you call and ask for it. Or if you have a bank statement that shows we cashed your check we'll remove the collection, but if you owe $50 and you did not pay it you can be put into collections, As long as you have proof of payment, you just present it to the company & it should be handeled

  6. you can pay them to get them off your back its just 50 bucks!

get a job and youll have the 50 in like a day!

yes they can take you to collections for anything!

  7. Yes, you can be turned over to a debt collector for $50.00.

  8. Yes...I went to collections for $40.....

Dispute your credit report with the $50 debt.  If they are calling you and want you to pay over the phone, tell them you don't make payments over the phone and you want something in writing.

Maybe get a new phone number or a P.O. box

If that doesn't work, you could always just pay them and get a confirmation number of your payment and keep it in your records
