Can I go swimming in the bay if I am on my ........?

It's by Bailey bridge, in lynn haven florida. It is technically the ocean, but there is a swimming area, and I wanna go wimming tomorrow, but I have always heard if you are on your period, even if you wear tampons to stay out of the water, b/c sharks will smell the blood and attack. Attacks here are rare, but I don't wanna be the cause of one. Swim or not?

well I would'nt try it ~!!!! just go to a motel or something ...you never know whats actully under thoses salt water oceans....

dont get pulled out into the ocean and sharks can detect things from very very very far away.... i 'd be scared. would be much safer if you swimmed in a 12 ft swimming pool
