I am at a four year university (UH Manoa) that I cannot afford and I want to transfer to another four year university (UNCW) Spring 2009 however spaces are limited. Is it possible to go to a Community College (Cape Fear) for Spring 2009 and then transfer to UNCW Fall 2009?

  1. If they accept transfer students, then sure you can.  However, some sticking points:

-- You may need to submit SATs and high school transcripts if you're transfering without a minimum level of credits set by the institution.

    - You are at the mercy of the institution accepting the previous coursework.  If there are no articulation agreements, this is particularly troublesome.  Be prepared to have to retake courses.

  2. you should talk to a adviosr at UNCW, because each school is different, but make sure the classes from the community college transfer, i know at my school community college classes dont transfer past ur 2nd year, so i would advise you to speak with a UNCW advisor about ur situation

  3. Yea, why not

    yes, you can!
