Can I go to college on my wife's GI Bill she has 20 yrs Active Army and now is in the reserves??

  1. You have to be a veteran to get Veterans benefits.


  2. Most likely not, there are different options available for the GI Bill.  So it will depend on what options your wife selected when she signed up for her GI bill.  She will need to talk to her commanding officer to see what her GI Bill covers.

  3. It depends.  There are a variety of GI Bill benefits, and depending on the chapter that your wife is receiving it may have dependent benefits extended.  Your best bet is to have your wife speak to a VA representative about her benefits and who may be eligible to be covered under them.
