Can I go to court for somebody?

My boyfriend has a property and they have not paid in 5 months. We gave the 3 to 5 day notice. And the clerk told us he would have to go to court. Is there any way I would be able to go to court for him? If I got a paper notarized? What would it have to say? He would not be ab;e to make it.

  1. Sure you can go to court for him.  There are a few simple steps:

    1.  Go to college.

    2.  Graduate from college.

    3.  Apply to law school.

    4.  Get into law school.

    5.  Graduate from law school.

    6.  Take and pass your state's bar exam

    7.  Get admitted to the bar.

    Then you can go to court for him.  Until then, he needs to go himself or hire a lawyer.


  2. No. Unless your name is also on the claim, only the documented/ plaintiff and the defendants must appear for themselves. If your name is on the property or business deed, then you could go.
