Can I go to the dentist and get my tooth pulled?

I am pregnant but I need my tooth pulled is it okay to get it pulled

Yes, they just won't be able to give you the knock out stuff, they will just knumb it. I did this with one of my pregnancies and everything turned out fine! Just watch it on the pain meds afterwards, check with you obgyn to see what you can take for pain and how much. IB Prof is only safe during certain stages in pregnancy. Your dentist won't know what meds are safe for you, so ask your ob...ok.

Yes I got two teeth pulled last week. It hurt like h**l.

edit: they can give you enough numbing shots at the dentist to make the actual pulling of it not hurt but I went to a bad dentist that bruised my whole mouth and it hurt like h**l for a week afterwards.

yes, but the stress might not be ok for your baby. if its bad u might need to go to the oral surgeon

I have had 7 teeth taken all during my pregnancy. One in December that was badly broken.

Then last month I had my wisdom teeth and 2 other molars that were ruined because of the wisdom teeth taken out. I was put to sleep for the last visit when they took 6 teeth.

They will not do it before your second trimester or in the later part of your third.

I dont think so. I remember having tooth pain, but all they could do for me is give me tylenol and antibiotics, which were safe to use at the time. They drilled a little hole, down to the part where it hurt and told me it was an infection. It's been two years, but I am due for a root canal...

whether it's pulled or not if there is a problem with your teeth, you have to go to dentist. he might give you anti pain, clean it up and give you relieve, there might be a cavity in your teeth,so he might feel it or he may pull it out or he may give you essential advice concerning on nutritional, medical and save pregnancy.

Yeah you can get it pulled, but you cant have novacain so it is going to HURT!

Call the dentist office and explain the situation.  Also, call your OBGYN office and ask them what to do.

they will give you a local anesthesia, all you have to do is make sure you let them know you are preg before they start.

i have never known anybody to be knocked out just to have a tooth pulled.
