  1. There is a 3rd way to get your diploma through homeschooling: Your teacher can give you a diploma.  The homeschool grads that I know have been given a diploma at their graduation ceremony. Teachers in homeschool are the parents.  I know many students who received their diplomas this way and majority have gone on to community and/or 4 year college.

  3. Yes, when you are homeschooled you can graduate and get your diplomia. You have a few options. 1. A few of the home schooling curriculums have the courses, where you take the test at home and you get graded and see if you passed. But you have to make sure that you are signed up for that. 2. You can just go get your GED, which some people dont think is the same, but they look at it just the same. and 3. You can take the test online and get that way

  4. Yes, as long as the homeschool curriculum you choose is accredited, and you are able to attain a diploma.

An online school is best if you plan to homeschool until graduation.

  5. Okay, I live in Washington and every year when I file my declaration of intent they mail me a list of times that the WASL test will be given and a number to call to arrange to have my child take the test.  We choose not to take the WASL because it is a poorly conceived test with ridiculous rules for grading.  Did you know that a wrong answer on the math portion can get more points than a right answer if you do better job of explaining how you got that wrong answer?  We are choosing to rely on SAT scores instead.  However, if you contact your local school district office, they will give you info on when and where to sign up for the WASL.

As far as graduating, yes you do graduate as long as you complete the requirements your parents set for your graduation.  You graduate as a homeschooler though, you don't get a Public School diploma.

  6. I just found something online http://www.washhomeschool.org/whoWASL.ht... that indicates many schools are trying to insist that homeschoolers HAVE to take the tests, which isn't true, so I would guess you could take them if you wanted to. Looking further on that site, it sounds like you do have to do some sort of testing, it's just that it doesn't have to be the WASL.

Yes, you can graduate with a parent-provided diploma and transcript. You won't graduate with a Washington State Diploma, but that's probably not any different than attending a private school; in most places, private schools provide their own diplomas so I'm assuming it's the same in Washington.

  7. Yes,you can.Assuming you live in the United States that is...
