Can I grow an oak tree inside? And if so, would I need to provide humidity for it like other indoor trees?

I just hope you have a huge pot and a ceiling that goes waaaaaay up high. Oak trees get really big. Look at a tree like you want which is growing outside. The width of the limbs will tell you how far the root system runs. You can figure the roots run out at least as far as the limbs spread. Of course if you keep it cut back and keep the roots trimmed it may work. Something along the lines of a large bonsai?
