I love to use things close by in the kitchen. I want to smoke with different meats and discover how different they taste . I got some apple wood, just some twigs and sticks, at the park. I have Maple in the front yard. What are some of the other types of woods in the area that are as delicious? I'd like to try some mulberry trees...what do you think?

  1. I love to use things close to the kitchen too. Reduce food miles. Use less fuel. I KNOW my toMAYtoes are safe. My peppers to. And fresh. Long live the Victory Garden.

No species of Prosopsis (Mesquite) will survive the winter long term in Indiana. (USDA Zone 5-7)

    Your Mulberry should be fine.

Here is a link to a list of woods and the flavors they add in smoking. You can check their individual hardiness at davesgarden.com

I never smoked a fish cause I couldn't figure out which end to light. har dee har har
