  1. You can grow mint from cuttings.  The mint family spreads with rhizomes under the earth-- in the right conditions-- it'll spread until you want to scream..... So some folks try to confine the growth using open bottomed buckets set into the ground.

Mint likes moisture and morning sun--

    good luck

  2. water or soil, either way is fine... but if you have it in soil already, best to leave it there now....keep the soil moist and give it a place where there's good sun and shade for the afternoon heat....

  3. You can look up online tips for taking cuttings and following them.

And to stop mint taking over - grow in a tub instead of straight in the ground.

  4. Put the stem in water and within days you will have roots sprouting.  But becareful where you plant it, it WILL take over everything in its path. And make all things taste minty fresh.

  5. mint can spread like wildfire and take over your garden so it's best to grow it in a container.

it may grow better if you start it in the water first

  6. its not hard to grow mint from seed, but you can grow it from a stem.
