Can I grow mushrooms in a trash bag full of manure...Ideas?

I was told if you have the spores in a trah bag full of moist manure that mushrooms will grow is there anything else i need to know about this method and does it work.If not how can i get them to grow?

  1. well actually this is a good question it really depends on how moist and soft the manure is the tempature should be over 67% you dont want it to be to mist or too soft that will just wash away the nutrients in side of the manure so its a yes for me


  2. From most garden centres you can buy bags which have already been "impregnated" with mushroom spores, you just set them off by adding a liquid and away they go.

  4. I saw a program on TV where they grow them in trays on shelves like in the garage and put straw on top to keep the heat in. If the bag tears it will be a mess.
