Can I hand in my notice at work whilst on annual leave?

if I am off for two weeks can I just take my resignation letter in on the Friday of the1st week and leave onthe following Friday?

  1. think can hand in notice at any time  but in most places you have to work a week or fortnight in hand  to give former employer time to find a suitable re'placement
