Can I hang photos in my bathroom?

I have a powder room in my house. It has a lot of wall space. I have a nice 3 picture vertical frame that I thought about putting pictures in . . but there's something about having it in my bathroom that seems weird. Should it be photos of places or objects instead of people? Does it matter. I don't know why I feel like it's weird to have people looking at family pictures while they are in there doing their business. Anyone have advice?

OMG, they're all staring at me while I go!!! ;o) j/k. I don't think I have ever seen any photos of people in a bathroom before. That would certainly make yours unique. Perhaps a collage of interesting photos from places you've traveled in the 3-picture vertical frame would be more appropriate.

Another option is to get your favorite humorous story in the frame (so people could read while "doing their business" without having to touch anything). I've seen that at a doctor's office.

My husband decorated his bathroom (we have separate ones) with framed fabric (sounds weird, but works). He found some beautiful designs on some curtains in Japan, cut those out and framed them in 3 separate frames (but hung them all in a row). I'm slightly jealous that I wasn't as creative and only have 8 mirrors of different sizes on my bathroom walls...

I agree. There 's something disturbing about having actual family photos so near the toilet.

I have a Vincent Van Go powder room off my foyer.  Its painted the deep"Van Gogh" blue, and I have prints of his major works everywhere on the walls, as well as a self-portrait of him, and several books about him for 'reading' while in there. Its a conversation starter for sure.

Why not try something similar with your favorite artist? I'm thinking of going with the B&W nature photography of Ansel Adams when I remodel.

It's your bathroom so you can put anything in it that you want.  Pictures are fine.  A group of similar scenery would be nice.  However, photos of pets or people would be fine also.

Naw, family pics don't belong in the potty. Go outside and take some flower pics upclose, do them in black and white for something diff.

It would probably be fine if you hung up some pictures of places in there, people would seem kind of odd though.
