Can I have 2 laptops on the same internet connection at the same time?

I have a desktop computer.....my wife and i want to get a laptop each. So how can I connect both our laptops to the internet at the same time and kkep my desktop connected too? We both want to be able to surf the web at the same time. What hardware do i need?

Yes

You need a router and two wireless adapters for your two laptops (or built in wireless in the laptops.)

Get a wireless router. Connect it wired to the desktop and then set up security by logging in to the routers page (can be found at the bottom of the router, will look something like this 192.168.0.1)

The laptop should be able to connect after selecting the router and providing the password.

Well i don't know about labtops but we have three computers in my house and we connected it to some small electric box,and KAT 5 cables,so i suggest you go ask a professional,or go to some place like best buy...sorry.....

we have 11 computers on dsl

 airport express handles everything beautifully

linksys gave us grief for 2 years, I shoved it in the closet
