I have 4 12" Kenwood KFC-W3011 subwoofers and 1 Boss War 1400 watt 2 channel amp. Can I hook all of the subwoofers to the amp without hurting anything. The subs are 400 watt RMS and 1200 watt Max the amp says on it 700x2=1400 and its a 2ohm stable amp. I only have 2 subs hooked up right now because I didnt want anything to get blown or messed up. Should I get a bigger amp to give the subs the right amount of power or is the one I have ok. Can someone tell me what to do.

  1. I had 4 300 watt RMS subs hooked up to a clarion 400watt max. It was alright but I know the subs needed more power to pump more. IT will work and won't hurt anything aslong as you have it wired right. but for if you have the extra cash I would invest into a better amp and if you can to keep costs down if there all single coil subs just wire them all together into 1ohms IF they are 4ohms each. and find a amp that is 1500RMS or close

  2. Go with the Hifonics Bxi1608d.  I got the Bxi1606D on 4 SVC12" Pioneers 400rms each.  I'ma beast on these streets ya heard.  U can get at onlinecarstereo.com for $299 (free shipping). But def get a class d mono amp, more efficient than 2 channel for subs.

  3. maybe

  4. You can do it, but the amp will not power the subs very well. The "1400 watts max" rating can be very misleading. It probably puts out around 500-800 watts in reality, if that. I would invest in a new amp.
