Can I have Sky Mile accounts with 2 different airlines?

Question

I have one with Delta already, but i was wondering if it's possible to have another account with Virgin Atlantic?

P.S..... And officiously still keep the one with delta. :)

Absolutely.  I have accounts with 3 airlines.

It's just the same as those "the 8th haircut is free" cards...there's no rule saying you can't have one from each chain.

BUT...if you take a flight on an airline and you have an account with them and with one of their partners...you can't get the miles from that flight credited to both accounts - you have to pick which account they go into.
