My sister will be my matron of honor, but I want my best friend to play a big part as well (as the maid of honor). Is it ok (or customary) to have both in the party?

  1. Of course :)

And always remember, there's tons of "customary" things, but it's YOUR wedding. As long as it's not totally weird, which in this case it isn't, go ahead with it!!

    Congratulations on your engagement! =)

  2. yes!! my aunt did.  Go for it , this is your day and if both of those ladies are important to you , then they should be right beside you.

  3. Yes, you can have both.  However, only one can sign the marriage license as the "witness."  Decide in advance who that will be.  Both can be with you in the photos.

    Happy wedding!

  4. Yes, you can, and in addition, they'll be able to split the responsibilities like planning the bridal shower, etc.

  5. Yes.. it's your wedding.. do what you want.. i have heard of a lot of brides who have a matron and maid of honor.. there is nothing wrong with that...

  6. Yes, you can! Traditionally, brides had both, so it is still completely appropriate. My younger sister will only be 14 at the time of my wedding. She'll be my Maid of Honor, but she wouldn't be able to bear the full responsibility of the role, so my Matron of Honor (my other best friend) will be taking care of the bigger responsibilities.

  7. of course. Now adays it is really up to the bride. But yes, that is okay!

  8. Absolutely - have both of them :)

  9. yes, it's perfectly fine to have both.  How wonderful for you that you have two women who are important to you to support you.
