Alright, so I am pregnant and I am already on Medi-Cal and Food Stamps. I haven't been able to get a job since I moved. I applied for FAFSA but only qulified for the BOG Waiver, and so I was going to go and apply for the EOPS program as well so that way my college would be totally paid for. In order to quaify I need to be on Cash Aid, which I was going to apply for it in May (that's when I'll be 7 months). Well the other day, my cousin offered me a job and I was wondering if I can take a part-time job and still get Cash Aid so that I can go to college?

Also, just to help, I'm 19 and live with my parents. Would it help to move out of their house?

  1. In this moment, it may seem better to leave your parents house and get cash assistance but your resume is going to look weak and when you are ready for a job, your lack of experience can hurt you. I would always say work whenever you can! Get a job and keep it, the jobs are few and far between! You having a part time job will most likely not affect cash assistance but leaving your parents house with a  baby on the way and then school on top of that.. don't stress your self out!

  2. It doesnt matter if you work now....they only want to know how much u made last year and if you didnt work then your good...... I work and make good money and i still qualified
