ARB is the institution that register qualified architects, where every architects have to register to be called so. Also I work for the firm since a year and my salary is low already. i wan to to change firm, but in the meanwhile, that would help.

  1. No it is up to your employer when he gives you a rise. No one is automatically entitled to a pay increase for anything. If you do get regular cost of living increases or extra for qualifications etc it will be in your contract.

  2. No, you get paid what the company think you are worth, hard life is it not.

  3. There are no laws requiring a firm to give you a salary increase at any time unless such an eventuality is mentioned in your contract of employment.

  4. No, there is no law which says how much a company has to pay you.  Check your job contract to see whether or not qualifications you mention are included with a certain salary.

  5. no, not unless you'd be joining a union or if you would be under a prevailing wage order once you join.

  6. any raise would be up to your employer - there are no laws that force a company to give anyone a raise
