it means that people think your question is interesting. For you, i will stick a gold star sticker to the screen right over your name, that way everyone will know your special.....as long as they use my computer.

You don't get any points for a star. They just make you feel good. I see from your profile that this is just your second day!! Welcome!! I remember my first day,second day etc. It's kinda like starting school. You gotta go to kindergarten first and learn the rules and how to play the game. Lots of people helped me to learn about Y/A..so if I ever see you need help..I'll try to give a good answer. Everybody on here is good at helping. That's mainly why we're here..to get help and to give help. Find something that you're really interested in and ask all the questions you're allowed to ask. (There's a chart that tells you how many questions you can ask a day and what your privileges are at your level.) Since you're just at Level 1...you won't have that many privileges. You have to gain points to get them. If there's something you know a lot about..go to that category section and try to answer them Give the best answer you can...not real long answers..sometimes people just skip over those.Maybe they'll like your answer the best and give you BA.(Best Answer)(which gives you 10 pts.) Go to Resolved Questions at the top of the section and see how people answer..what they say.It will give you an idea of how it goes on here.and you can see what kind of answers get Best Answer. But, if you're rude..you can get kicked off. So always be kind (even if you see some others who aren't_).There's so much more to tell..but not enough space. If you have something you can't figure out..come here to the Alternative Section and I'm sure someone will try to help you. Welcome Aboard!! Sure! I'll give you a star and explain what the star did. First, the star means the question was interesting. There is something else it does which is more important. I have a lot of people who are my contacts. I think they are very smart, nice, or interesting people, so I added them to my contacts. When one of them "stars" a question, I get a notice on my profile. Since I like my contacts, it's good to see which questions they found interesting! PSI Exploration is the contact who starred your question. When I saw the notice on my profile, I clicked on it and came here and saw your question. Now when I star you, the people who added me to their contacts will see the question.
