  1. Not sure, but maybe try the council. They can help you out with council tax sometimes, all will help i guess. hth

  2. I was in a similar situation in order to get housing benefit for your mortgage, the benefits dept will pay theinterest only on the mortgage up to a maximum mortgage value of £100,000. BUT and it's a big but only after 7 months after you've applied (lot of bloody good!)

i ended up selling getting a housing association property which they paid all the rent for and keeping the profit i made so was quids in really!

  3. I agree with Bren

  4. you may qualify for maternity pay from the govenment as opposed to the temp agency, as you are working, lookon dwp website, should something on there. hope this helps

  5. try the churches and salvation army in your area to see if they can help you

  6. Call your lender and ask for a forebearance due to medical issues- they might be willing to work with you.

  7. if ur in the uk u  may be entitled to maternity allowance u should check this, my sons g/f just had a baby last week and she had just changed her job when she found out she was pregnant so was not working long enough to qualify for maternity pay however she gets 100 odd pound a week maternity allowance otherwise if u sign on as unemployed which having a baby ur entitled to do then u will get some help with paying the mortgage interest, help with council tax and also child tax credit and child benefit.  hope this helps a bit and good luck.

  8. The short answer is no - but why not give your lender a call and see if you can organise a two month "mortgage holiday"

  9. If you're in the UK:

Apply for Maternity Allowance, you will get £117 a week.  You will be entitled to this for nine months.

You could also apply for Sure Start Maternity Grant, if you qualify, even if you think you don't you could apply and hope for the best.  You could get £500 and if you could use that for your mortgage (you're still using it for the baby, since the baby needs somewhere to live!)

Good Luck!!  You can always just go into the JobCentre and ask to speak to an adviser and ask then what you could do.
