Can I have both US Green Card and Canadian Permanent Residency?

I became a Canadian Permanent Resident (PR) in August 2006 and have been living here since. I received a USA Green Card (GC) in May 2008 through my spouse. Canadian residency requirements are that I be physically present in Canada for 2 out of the 5 years, which I would satisfy this August 2008.

Can I move to USA in September 2009 but still maintain my Canadian PR status? Can I have both a US GC and Canadian PR?
