Can I have some advice................?

i have never really played soccer as a team sport before( no experience) and i'm 15. i have been thinking about trying out for my high school girls soccer team. what do u think i should do and work on?

soccer is a winter seasonn sport at my school so i have about 2-3 months before try outs.

  2. let me tell you this.. this was also my first year of soccer without any experience either and in also 15. you should deffinitely try-out, you have nothing to lose. if you dont try-out.. you will never know what could have happened. dont be scared for not making the team.. no one cares. if they do.. they will get over it in like a week. you should deffinitely work on your running.. 2-3 miles every other day. but dont kill yourself. also practice hitting the wall with the ball and make sure you receive it back. NEVER EVER be scared of the ball. you will not die if you get hit. practice dribbling the ball.. maybe 2-3 times around a lap. if you know learn how to dribble well and you dont plan on being goalie.. im sure you will be fine. =) wanna be a defender.. build upper body strength and keep your eyes on the ball. wanna be a midfileder.. make sure you are fast and good footwork and if you want to play forward.. make sure you have accuracy and good footwork.   3. soccer is a good sport to play.

    I would try out and see if there is a beginners team but if not people will be willing to teach you.

    first get a ball, from any sport store and some shoes.

    try kicking and dribbling with the insides of your foot.

    most of all have fun, don't be overly serious cos that takes the fun out
