  1. I have a lot of tips, tricks and strategy for both poker and blackjack on my site and they are all FREE.

Visit the site and see them all:

  2. Texas Hold Em is very much a game where you never stop learning new tricks.. its endlessly complicated and part of why its one of the more interesting gambling games. The best thing to do though is to make sure you don't go broke too early in the learning curve. The best thing to do is follow some solid bankroll  management rules:-

    1) Don't sit down on cash table with more than 5% of your bankroll.

    2) Don't enter tournaments with more than 2% of your bankroll.

    3) Leave table if your stack represents more than 10% of your bankroll.

Use the above as a guide to which games you should be playing and when to move up and down the money ranks.

For blackjack, memorize your basic strategy play before entering a real casino. The fastest way is to practice on an online casino or some other blackjack simulator. Basic strategy is the mathematically best play for all situations (assuming perfect deck compositions..). The only reason to deviate from basic strategy is when you are using a count system.

    good luck!

  3. read harrington's poker book, vol 2.

  4. In Hold'em, I actually prefer to learn betting patterns than facial mannerisms. It'll give you a lot more "tells" than a physical tell will, simply cause people know that physical tells will cause a call when they want it, or fold for that matter, but the betting patterns are almost always a sure bet...except in the cases of better opponents who will change things up on you, but they almost always fall back into the same patterns eventually. As far as blackjack, your best bet is to look up information on it..learn what to do when the dealer is showing a certain card and whatnot...and good luck :)

  5. 1. Hold'Em... you really really gotta know how to read people's faces and mannerisms.  Practice challenging them with bets, raises, calls in various amounts to decipher what they're holding.  Also, learn basic odds and pot odds.

    2. Blackjack, just follow the rules and once in a while go with your gut.  The longer you play it, the less likely you'll come out the winner.
