Can I hire A track coach for my school?

I want to know if I could make a request to my school or anything that would help in hiring a distance track coach. This man quit his old school because there was no talent or anything in the kids he had. He is an older man and has won numerous cross country state titles and track titles. He coached my rival school and he is really respected. And I just wanted to know if I have any chance in getting him to coach at my school which has a lot of talent, just the wrong coaches for the job. And as a runner for xc and track and one of the best in my school at both I want to know if I have a say. Thank You in Advance

I'm sure you could suggest it to your administrators at your school, but other than that, I'm not really sure what you could do, seeing as they have a final say. It might also be good to have your whole team endorse this and approach your school so that way it's not just you but the entire team.
