Can I hook up a separate router to my PS3 without a computer?

My PS3 is located in my basement and is too far away from the router to get a good wireless connection. Is there a way to connect a separate router to my PS3 without the use of a computer?

Why do you want to complicate things? In order to hook another router you'll need to mess around with cables. So just plug a cable into your current router and use a wired connection (much better and stable than wi-fi).
