Can I hook up a wired router to my cable modem?

I want to connect my Wii LAN Adapter to the internet, but I'm using a U10C018 broadband modem and I would have to keep disconnecting and connecting it every time I play online. So if I buy a wired router, would i be able to connect it to the modem?

Yes, hook up the modem to the WAN port of the router and the other devices (Wii, PC, etc.) to the LAN Ports (typically 4 LAN ports in most wired routers)

Yes, it would connect to the modem and you would connect any devices you use for the internet to the router. I would suggest wireless router. Wii already has built-in wireless so less cables to work with. Or if you talk to your internet provider you might be able to swap your modem for a wireless cable modem.
