I have the ps3, onkyo TX-SR605 , and the toshiba 46rf350u (and a mac, satallite, and something else I can't remember). The receiver has 2 HDMI inputs and 1 output. The TV has 3 HDMI inputs. So basically I just want to avoid having a bunch of HDMI cables being attached to my TV running up the wall or having to snake all of those wires. If I can just connect it to the receiver I can avoid all the extra wires going to my TV. So can I do audio/video from the ps3 to receiver?

  1. Yes, I have a receiver and that's how I hooked mine up... so much less of a hassle than going to the back of the TV to access stuff

  2. Yes, that is the preferred way. That way the video for all your external components, Sat, DVD etc is going via one cable, HDMI to the TV and the audio is being handled by the receiver and sent to your speakers. Doesn't get any better than that.
