Can I increase internet speed in this situation?

Hi

I connect to internet using LAN from a server(to which I have no direct access). I get really poor speed. Can I force the server somehow to give me more bandwidth/stronger signal?

Are you using a hub instead of a router?  Using a hub divides the BW between all computers hooked to it, a router will give the computer what its asking for.  Or at least to my knowledge.

Depends on the configuration of the server. Generally NO as you have to make changes to certain items.  If the Admin set a throttle on your account you have to physically change that.
