Can I install an OEM version of Windows XP on my new mac pro thru parallels?

Hey all, about 4 years ago i built my own computer and purchased an OEM version of Windows XP as the OS. Now 4 years later i purchased an Macbook Pro for college and i got parralels with it (free thru macmall) before i go and either buy a new XP or Vista, i wanted to no if i could use the Windows XP version for my new mac. Do i need to buy a new OS or can i just use this one? Both of the computers are my property so its not like im giving the OS to someone else. Any help?
