Can I install an xfx 8800gt video card on an asus p5k-vm motherboard?

what is your power supply? 8800GT needs an external supply. you need a 6-pin molex directly from your powersupply to your graphics card. you must at least have 500w of power supply. i believe your motherboard has a builtin vga right? if yes, before installing your card, boot with your built in and go to bios, look for the setting for your vga. there should be an option that will let you choose from internal to pci-e. choose pci-e then save the settings then turn off your system and isntall your 8800GT. also, uninstall your internal vga driver.
