Can I invite my friend to join a groups in yahoo group? how? (but I'm not the owner.I'm just a member)

You can invite a friend to a group with the group invite section if appointed moderator.  The only other thing you can do is to give the link to the site for the group to your friend so they can check it out further and then when filling out the information to join state that you referred them to the group.

is the group closed/ invite only? members cant send invites, why not send an e-mail to the owner and ask them to send an invite?
