Can I just put my laptop in my checked baggage?

Question

I am leaving for DC tomorrow night, first plane ride...

And I want to take my laptop I don't want it on the flight should I just put it on my carry on, as if my bag is lost or something...

I just don't know...

Also can't I put my liqueds on the checked or do they have to be on the carry on with the 3 oz or smaller....

Definately don't check it.  Put it in your bag, the will most likey ask you to take the battery out and scan it at security.  Don't worry that doesn't hurt your computer in anyway.

You can put any size liquid/gels in your checked baggage.  If you want them in your carry-on then they must be 3 oz or smaller and all of the bottles you bring must be in a 1 litre clear plastic bag.  You are only allowed one of these bags with you.

NO NO NO I have had my luggage run over by the carts!!! carry it on. It gets xrayed. Checked bags are treated badly!!!

If you are not carrying your laptop, you would be better served to ship it UPS air to meet you at your destination. Pack it as if you were wending it back to the factory so it will not be harmed.

putting it in you luggage means it will be treated as apiece of luggage and thrown with abandon into carriers, dropped, and dunked into chutes.  Do your really want that?

you can take your laptop with you but if you want to put it in your checked baggage then make sure it is surrounded or cushioned by the stuff in your suitcase. If it gets lost then it won't be taken as the airport's fault. Be careful and have a safe and fun trip!

You can put liquids in your checked baggage, no restrictions.

It's a VERY bad idea to put your laptop in your checked baggage.  It is handled roughly and is prone to theft.

You can bring ur laptop in ur carry on. u can can check any size liquids, they have to 3oz or smaller if u wanna carry them on the plane. Definantly bring ur laptop in ur carry on, ur checked bags get tossed around pretty good and they can get lost.
