Can I keep Neon Tetras with Saulosi Mbunas?

Question

I've got a 70 litre tank with a small shoal of Neons. I also have a Gibbiceps Catfish but he is only 1 1/2 inch. I have currently got 2 Odessa Barbs and 3 Tiger Barbs, but I already know I've got to get rid of them.

the mbunas would eat the neons, and 70 litres is too small for mbunas anyway. mbunas prefer a high pH and hard water, neons need a low pH and soft water, they are entirely incompatible.

that gibbi is going to need a 400-500 litre tank at least.
