This probably sounds dumb but the local pet store just got some new baby rabbits in stock and i can't find a reasonably priced rabbit hutch at the moment so i thought i might be able to keep it with my hamster in its cage?

  1. No. Hamsters are territorial, and it would probably end up attacking the rabbit. Don't get a rabbit until you can get a cage for it.

  2. not a good idea, hamsters are

not that social. just keep her in a big box until you

can buy a cage. plus they need room to run so we

keep our rabbit in our fenced in backyard so she won't

    get out.

  3. NO WAY                        its silly

  4. The majority of hamster cages would be much too small for a rabbit, even a baby rabbit, unless you have a large bin sort of cage. Also, hamsters are solitary creatures and will likely hurt the bunny. Wait until you can get suitable housing for him before you get him. You do not want to house him with your hamster.

  5. Ask the pet store and it might depend if the hamster is aggressive.

  6. Do not house him with your hamster.

For starters, most hamster cages are way too small for a rabbit, even a baby one.

Secondly, hamsters are very solitary and will not appreciate sharing their house with an animal of another species.

I can almost guarantee they will fight.

Wait until you have suitable housing before buying a pet.

  7. ABSOLUTELY NOT, THE HAMSTER WILL HATE IT AND THE RABBIT COULD EAT IT!!

The cage would be too small for a rabbit, it would be totally cruel, please don't do this. Wait and save up. You could buy a rabbit and ask the pet shop to reserve it for you. But don't put these two animals together.

  8. not a good idea. it might be ok with the rabbit but not the hamster. hamsters are not social. they would not like anything that eats or moves other than it in its cage. the rabbit may also not end up being as nice as thought.

  9. you can't keep a hamster with a rabbit even if it is a little one. Are you crazy the hamster WILL attack it. trust me i try it and it didn't end pretty!

  10. well i know that its ok to keep a small rabbit with a guinea pig but iv never heard of with a hamster

Also i do know that a hamster would attack a guinea pig so it might be the same with a rabbit and a hamster

  11. a hamster cage is too small you wouldn't do that any ways i'll give some sites for reasonable prices for rabbit hutches.

  12. No! They will kill eachother. Besides, rabbits need room to run. A hamster cage won't provide that.

  13. The hampster cage will be to small

  14. no, the rabbit could easily kill or injure your hamster. I no that a baby rabbit can stay with a sweet natured adult guinea pig and be fine, but i never heard of a rabbit with a hamster. Maybe try to put one on hold or get a large box or aquarium for it to stay in for a little. Or even try to build one.

    Good luck =)

  15. Absolutely not!  You'll cause massive distress for both animals, particularly the hamster.

If you absolutely have to have the rabbit, you will just have to splash out a few extra quid on a more expensive hutch if need be.
