  1. Depends on what you want.  Anything other than a cat or a dog is considered exotic.  So, a hamster or parrot would be considered exotic.  But, you do need a liscence to own a monkey (which should be kept as a pet anyways) foxes, procipines, that sort of thing.

  2. Depends on the type. People with snakes, monitors, and bigger lizards generally need licenses but rarely ever have them. Are you going to get busted if you have a snake without a license. Very unlikely. Now, if you're talking wild exotic like foxes, monkeys, wolves, etc. then you absolutely need a license or the animal will be taken away and you will be fined. To get a license for those types of animals is extremely difficult anyhow and for good reason.

  3. Totally depends on the species. Emus, llamas, swans don't require a license.  Native wildlife, large cats, bears and most other imported species do.

Check with your state's DNR department to see what they require. Then check with your city clerk to see if there are any ordinances against certain species (there will be). THEN check with your homeowners insurance to see if they'd drop you if you got a particular species (most certainly they will if you get one on their proscribed list, and you won't be able to get another insurance company to pick you up if this is the case).

  4. depend wat animal , but dont get an illegally imported animal , or one illegally sold in pet stores such as monkeys and foxes . Try a guinea pig coz their exotic .
