I just got a car delivered to me from a state with tags on both the front and the rear of the car. There are two holes on the front of my car now. Can I just keep the old tage from the other state there? Thanks!

  1. i think so

you can put any tag that you like on front bumpers

so i dont see why you wouldnt be able to keep your old tag in the front

    :]

  2. I think it may okay as long as the state your living in does not require you to have a tag on the front and back. I just found out this was allowed a couple years ago when I lived in Florida. I had a friend that had a California tag on the front and a Florida tag on the back. You may want to check with the DMV in your area to make sure its okay because what may be allowed in Florida may not be allowed in the state where you live though.

  3. If your state requires only one plate, you can put anything on the front plate holder except a plate from another state. Your old plate would be cosidered deceptive to the authorities.

  4. You need to ask that question of your local police or the DMV. The law will vary from state to state but I think most states would not allow plates from two different states being displayed at the same time.

  5. No, you should not.  If you do, you will most certainly be stopped by the police
