  1. I keep two chickens - they produce 6 eggs per week each, ergo 12 eggs per week.  That's more than enough for me - but if you need more eggs than that, you'll need more chickens!

I can definately recommend getting your chickens/home/run etc from Omlet.co.uk.

They are quite pricey, but are well worth it as it all gets delivered to your door together and when they deliver it they give you a quick talk about the chickens and what they will need from you etc.

If you look on the forums on omlet they always have people selling old runs etc which would be a cheaper alternative.

    Good luck!!

Oh and I forgot to mention you don't need to inform anyone you're going to keep them, and they don't cost you anything tax wise.  Also chickens are fairly quiet - they cluck but it's very soft clucking you can't really hear it.  Our neighbours are normally first in line to complain - but we've had no complaints about them since we got them in 2005.

  2. Yh you can my moms Friend has 2 chickens and a rooster

  3. If you live in Texas you can keep them I sell them all the time.

  4. Yes you can if your neighbors agree that you can because chickens are noise! They have to sine a form and then I think you have to pay a bill or something it is different in everystate

you can get much information in this website, stay a minute in website and check anyone link at a time, you can aslo get your answer in Google Search in this website, which has helped me alot

  6. There's no legal requirement to have chickens, however there is a legal requirement for the land you need to raise them.

Sorry i don't know of the particular requirements, my brother is a civil worker who helped a local farmer adjust his pen sizes.

  7. HEY! im think of keeping 2-3 chikens to

well, just let your neighbours know, just incase they ddnt know it was yours and they eat it lol

  8. go for it i have chickens they are very easy to care for and you dont pay tax for them =)

  9. I think it's a good idea to keep chickens, it can be a good feeling that you're treating them right when factory farms treat them so horribly.

You should be able to keep chickens but depending on where you live there may be regulations or restrictions, so best to check with your local counsel.

I sugges going to your library and getting a few books, reading up on what they eat, thier living conditions and such.

You don't need a cockrel, or male chicken, for female chicken to lay eggs.

You don't need a lot of space to keep chicken, but out doors, in an area that's a bit shady.

You can buy cages from most large pet shops, and if you're only keeping a few, it's fairly easy to make your own.

Make sure you take into account the money issues, but if that isn't a problem i think it's really good idea.

good luck, hope it all goes well!
