Question:

Can I keep my X7 from scratching?

I plan to go paintballing soon with my new X7. I am one of those people who want their gun without scratches for as long as possible. When I went paintballing recently, I saw a guy with a X7 where the color was faded and very messy looking, I don't want that. How do I prevent it from scratching? Would a paintball that hits the gun scratch it? What I am asking is can I keep my X7 looking as good as when I bought it:P

  1. Nah, man the only way to keep it from scratching is to not go hitting it on trees, rocks, benches, or anything else that could scratch it. But paintball is a dirty, messy sport.

    Sorry.

And no, the paintball will not scratch it.

  2. Like most Tippmann I own... They're gonna fade. I don't know it something about the flat black paint they use. I found out that if you don't clean your gun after every game.. The paint** from broken paintballs** will stain your gun. Causing it to fade. So clean your gun after every game.

And about not scratching your gun... Don't hit anything with it. Or go with a camo wrap. Wrap your gun up with, it will offers little to some protection.

  3. The paintball wont scratch it, im sure he was a player who liked to dive and role around, just try not to drop it or anything. It shouldnt get very scratched or faded.
