I'm 6'5, I used to weight 237pounds now I'm down to 162, 163 pounds, and I wanted to get buff or go ripped but my schoolwork is heavy on me right now, i cant even find time to exercise so I was wondering, that if i consume under 20 fat calories a day, only whole grains, veggies, lean meats, and fat free milk and have a diet of somewhere between 800-850 calories, will I be able to maintain my weight and not gain fat?

  1. no, u cant keep that weight, because every time when u eat your weight is higher than an normal weight. our body can burn 500 calories by just walking within 30 minutes. and sometimes people skip  meals and also some eat trice as much as  the regular diet.

  2. Honestly - for someone who is 6'5 and 162 lbs, 850 calories a day is FAR too little. Also 20 fat calories is far too little.

Your body NEEDS fats. You just need to stick to the correct types of fats. Stay away from saturated and trans fats. However your body still needs some saturated fats, and monosaturated fats ( the good fats).  Without enough calories and/or fats, your body will turn to burning simple sugars, and muscle. Typically this causes you to feel tired and lethargic all the time, and will cause you to actually gain body fat %.

Stick to a 1200-1300 calorie diet, incorporate 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of unsalted shelled peanuts into your diet everyday. These will give you protein, and one of the best sources of monosaturated fats you can find. If you do work out, try to keep your workouts to a minimal amount of time. Working out too hard and burning a large amount of calories will cause your body to go into shock, and it will begin to burn muscle over burning fat. Otherwise it sounds like you have your diet pretty much pegged! Make sure you are taking a multi vitamin as well - your body will not be getting the nutriants you need on such a low calorie diet.

  3. I'm not sure it's healthy to eat that little, you're just too tall.  I'm 6'1, 160 lbs and that's too thin.  Sedentary I eat easily 2000+ calories a day and stay the same weight(though metabolisms vary).  You should probably be looking to gain 20 or so pounds.
