  1. strategy and luck. DONT FORGET PRACTICE!!

  2. Chess has nothing to do with Math.  Chess is about being your opponent's shoes, being very strategic, and always thinking ahead of time. So yes you can even if you are bad at math.

  3. u don't need 2 b good @ anything but chess 2 play chess, tho u prbly won't win rite away uvz most don't....if u play any1 halfway decent ur 1st try, and u win, that's a really good sign

  4. i suck at math

    and i like chess

i dont think it has much to do with math..but that's just what i think

i'm not the best at chess

if any abilities are required, i'd say u just need a good mind

you need to see that can happen to any of your pieces at any time, the consequences of each move, the rewards of each move, which piece is worth risking, which piece would be better to make a move with..etc

in my opinion, practice just makes perfect..and in time you will have acquired the skill of being a great chess player.

    i hope that helps :)

  5. well of course u can im great @ math but SUCK @ chess

so it doesnt really hav much 2 do w. math @ all

but get books and learn it
